Initiative Artists Agency

Founded in 2010 under the moniker "The DJ SpinZone," IAA was originally intended to be a booking agency for hand selected Midwest DJs, affording them national opportunities usually reserved for artists coming out of NYC, LA and Las Vegas by honing in on their branding, producing and mixing talents.

 

As things evolved, The DJ SpinZone DJs were desired in other venues- such as open format weddings, upscale private estate parties, country club soirees and pop-up events.

 

Soon, The DJ SpinZone was doing a lot more than deejaying. Sound, lighting, photography and decor ideas were being run through us. People began moving away from the traditional set-ups and shifting to the antique, urban and rustic themes we see so prevalent in today's design elements.

 

So, much like our original intent to hand select musical talent, we hand selected the most talented and flexible sound companies, lighting guru's, photography innovators and designers to lower costs and ensure the best experiences.

 

Oh, by the way, we found out we are really good at this! We like to believe this is because we view events from the DJ perspective. Music in a club or at an event is supposed to keep the crowd dancing, right? Same concepts come into play in these other areas. Flow of a room, timing, staging... regardless of if a client wants country music vibes, soft house or classic rock overlay (or all the above).

 

In early 2015, Initiative Artists Agency was founded to replace The DJ SpinZone and represent this growth in company and breadth of talents, as an organization.
